Hi, I’m Steve, a filmmaker and digital animator based in Dusseldorf, Germany. My work is driven by a love for retro video games, surreal horror, and soundtracks.I grew up making videos — first with an old analog camcorder, then moving on to digital editing with Windows Movie Maker. :D
But everything changed in 2005, the day I made my toy lightsaber glow green on screen using proper professional software. Suddenly, it wasn’t only a glowing stick — it was light & magic and pure possibility all at once. My eyes probably glowed almost as brightly as the lightsaber itself.Since 2012, I’ve focused on creating hand-animated videos that capture the charm and atmosphere of beloved games on my YouTube channel, The Pixel Kingdom. Each project stays true to the original style while adding my own creative twist and a touch of humor.Outside of YouTube, I occasionally talk my family into appearing in short films — from the family comedy QUATSCH to the infamous horror film FLIEDERWEG HORROR.

I started The Pixel Kingdom back in 2012, just for fun - and somehow it turned into a YouTube channel with over 1.8 million subscribers.
I make hand-animated videos inspired by the games I love.
